Thanksgiving is a special time for Americans to give thanks for the blessings in our lives. We have much to be thankful for. Each and every holiday I pause to reflect on the sacrifices of the brave men and women who often spend special occasions away from their families because they are working to protect the freedoms we hold dear. I say a prayer for all our servicemembers and their families, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Last year, I had the great privilege of spending Thanksgiving in Afghanistan. I’ll never forget the pride and hospitality of our heroes, and I will always be grateful for their service to this great nation.
I know we’ve got a lot of work to do at home, but I truly believe America is still the very best country in the world. As we approach the end of this election year, I am thankful for a peaceful transition of power. After a hard-fought election, I hope our country can come together, united in our hope for a better and brighter America for future generations.
I pray this Thanksgiving brings joy and gratitude to your family, and I thank you for the opportunity you’ve given me to serve you in Congress.Feel free to contact my office if I can be of assistance to you or your family.
