Roe Statement on the Anniversary of the September 11th Terrorist Attacks
JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – Today, Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) released the following statement on the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:
“Today, on the 15th anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history, let us pause to remember the lives lost and reflect on the legacies that remain. My thoughts and prayers are with every victim, family member, loved one and first responder who suffered because of the heinous attacks that forever changed our country. In the fifteen years since September 11, 2001, the world has become a more dangerous place and the threat of terrorism remains, but I know the resolve of Americans is strong. On this day, we put aside our differences and stand united to honor the memory of the men, women and children who never returned home that September morning. On this day, we are joined together by our love of country and our hope that America’s best and brightest days are yet to come. On this day, we remember. We will never forget.”Note: Roe participated in a bipartisan 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on the Capitol steps on Friday, September 9th. You can watch the full ceremony here.
