Roe to Speak at “Services for Those Who Have Served”
Friday, June 17th at 8:30 a.m.
JOHNSON CITY, TENN. –Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) will kick off this year’s “Services for Those Who Have Served” event on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will run from 8:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m.; registration and breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. The Congressman will speak at 8:30 a.m.
The event is intended to educate veterans on support services offered in Northeast Tennessee, including employment, housing and small business resources.
Representatives from the Small Business Administration, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Tennessee Small Business Development Center at ETSU, The Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Johnson City Housing Authority will be in attendance, along with many organizations that provide services to Veterans. The keynote speaker will be Bob Seitz, with Mississippi State University’s Business Outreach Center (VBOC), who will deliver information on a program called “Boots to Business”.
