Washington, D.C.  –  Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) released the following statement on H.R. 2009, the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act, which passed the House today by a vote of 232 to 185:

“Over the last few months we’ve heard a lot about the IRS and its abuse of power. In light of these scandals, the IRS’s role in implementing and enforcing ObamaCare is more than a little disconcerting. The government has no place between a patient and their doctor, and this bill will prohibit the IRS from enforcing any provision of the president’s health care law.”
