WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) released the following statement on the verdict in the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell:

“As someone who spent more than thirty years as an OB/GYN, delivering more than 5,000 babies, I am appalled and sickened by the heinous acts committed by Kermit Gosnell. His repugnant crimes are a slap in the face to anyone that has ever cared for patients. While nothing can bring back these precious lives lost, I am pleased to see that justice will be served. We must protect the lives of the innocent and fight for the miracle of life, and I will continue to strongly condemn abortion in any form.”
