Roe Statement on the Loss of Private First Class
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Phil Roe, M.D. (TN-1) released the following statement on the loss of Private First Class Frederick Z. Greene, 29, of Tennessee, who died on November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, Texas:
“As a veteran and a member of the U.S. House Veterans Affairs Committee, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Private First Class Frederick Z. Greene, 29, of Tennessee, who died on November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, Texas. I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to Private First Class Greene's family. You are in our thoughts and our prayers.”
According to initial reports, Private First Class Greene died of injuries sustained as result of a mass shooting at the Soldiers Readiness Processing Site. The incident remains under investigation.
